I made a difficult decision last night. I parted my ways with Dragon Knights, the guild in which I have been since level 28 or so.
In DK I have met some really nice people that made me enjoy WoW and I will be forever grateful to them. I will not mention any names, they know who they are.
I will not insists on the reasons behind my decision, let’s just say that RL comes first and I have decided to move to a place where I have RL friends.
I am now part of Anarchic Insomniacs, one of the most respected Horde guilds on Terenas. What I have seen so far in terms of interaction between guild members makes me really really happy and I hope I can get to know them all very soon. They are quite a friendly bunch and I felt welcome

I did a respec 3 days ago and I am very happy about it!
I am now on pure affliction, and I wonder why, oh why, did not chose it before 49
The build is here
It’s quite basic: 40/0/0 – deep affliction. Next points will go towards destro again, to regain my Improved Shadow Bolt and Bane.
What does this mean for me? Major change of tactics. The pet of choice will be the imp from now on, as I have Dark Pact and can use him as a mana battery. As I now can more effectively drain life from opponents, I can do a rough form of tanking called “drain-tanking” – attacking the mob with DoTs, then draining his life to compensate for the damage he deals. In most cases, I will get out of the combat with more than 90% health and afterwards can use the imp for mana recovery. As I usually hang out with palladins, this will save them some mana they usually spent on healing me
I will sure miss Makvhug, my faithful Voidwalker which I have used while Destro-specced, but the imp is the most efficient mana potion ever
Also, I was able to create a nice set of cloth armor to increase my Shadow damage. The only piece I am missing is the mask, which I intend to get asap in order to complete the new, purple look
So tonight it’s Searing Gorge for me
Will return victorious >:)

This is now officially a WoW blog
Just wait for my WoW madness to pass and I am going to write again about other things
Today’s hate target: gold sellers & power levelling services.
If you have been at least once in one of the capital cities of Azeroth (Orggrimar, Undercity etc), you have seen these guys. They have names like “Akfhdkg” , they are level 1 and they just sit in the middle of the city, spamming the trade channels with messages like “Hi friend, visit our website for gold & power levelling services. 1-70 in 4 days, 19$ for 1000 gold!” – basically, they offer game money for real money and a player to level your character very fast.
First of all, I am NOT your friend and you should not address me as such. Second, they are a pest for honest, hardworking players that earn their gold and levels by REALLY playing the game. What happens if you use their services:
I should not be surprised then when going to an instance or a raid and seeing that my imp outthreats the warrior, that the priest tanks, that the warlock insists on spamming shadowbolts across the field and then complaining that the monsters attack him, that everybody wants Soulstones in the same time and the mage does AoEs when 2 or more mobs are already CC’ed by other players using spells that are dispellable by damage.
These pests take away the pleasure of discovering the game one step at a time, of getting to know and use your abilities, and, last but not least, they take away the FUN that should come in the same package.
Do a good deed to the WoW community and report those bastards for spam. And do not use their services. Having a 70 character created & levelled by someone else will not get you any respect from the other players. And the most experienced ones will notice the difference immediately, so you have a good chance of making a fool of yourself and getting ignored.

In the life of every respectable blogger (:P), there comes the time of the “funny search terms” post.
My search terms are not that funny as in other cases (Patric, for example) – but still they follow a pattern.
First of all, I am really happy that the people looking for the definition of Saudade are finding it right on the front page
. I am terribly sorry for the guy searching for “hot ass on beach” – nothing like that here, but i promise that, if i find a donkey-like creature on a beach in Azeroth, i will do a screenshot for you (later edit: I will even set it on fire for you, so that it’s really really hot). I have not yet “been to Formentera”, but I plan to – sometimes this millenium. I like Manu Chao, “King of the bongo” is one of my favorite songs but, to be honest, i have not seen a “funny beach man” in ages.
Cats are awesome creatures, “cats of war” even more so. And yes, for those of you in doubt, “Oana Gabriela” is my name.
Speaking of Azeroth, yes, I am a WoW head, I play on Terenas a blood elf warlock who is level 35 now. Therefore if you need advice about “blood elf speciality” or lore about the sunwell, feel free to contact me
. However, I am a bit worried if you come here searching for “sexy blood elf wall” – get a grip, no matter how well-drawn, elves are still fantasy creatures

6 levels away from 40, this means that I will get my Felsteed soon. Other classes, eat your hearts out, it will cost me only 90 silver and the quest will be SOOO easy.
See you at 60 tho’, for the Dreadsteed and the kicking of butts & emptying of pockets (both mine) :-\

…Out of office tomorrow, wee, was long overdue
This weekend I will get Eleris to 30 and get her the felhunter. She’s already 28.
WoW news? Joined another guild, solo’ed RFC (oh ze boring), duo’ed SFK with Veeko, got the Belt of Arugal and for some strange reason I could not get the bastid’s head in order to turn in a quest. Nevermind, I’m going in there tonight again
. Will try to get the Arugal robes also, looks damn cool on BE Warlocks, ’specially on a hottie BE Warlock like my Eleris
. There she was, back when she was 25, atop a mound in the Barrens

I am perfectly aware that I am kind of addicted to WoW
Still, the game is loads of fun. Especially when played with nice, funny people
Last night I grouped with Veeko, Xei, Healingnub and Caitsith – blood elf palladin, blood elf palladin, taurean druid, blood elf mage. Eleris is now level 27 28 Warlock with pure destruction speciality ( 0 / 0 / 17 18 19). Do not know whether that is the best choice for her, I will look for some build guides on the web and i’ll decide.
We went to Blackfathoms Deeps where we pwned their sorry asses (ahem, we wiped once, but my Soul Stone was there to save the day – ressurecting Veeko who then ressurected all of us – dank je, mijn held
) . So far, this has been the best instance experience, mainly because the guys were soo funny, but also because they knew what they were doing. Looking forward to meet them all again
For the Horde!
PS: if you want to say hello to Eleris, you can find her on the Terenas realm

Ladies and gentlemen, knights in shiny armor still exist.
This is one of them. Well, he was more in his pijamas here, not in his shiny armor, but still a noble blood elf paladin, who helped me last night to get a new demon to summon, assisting me in crossing over a land infested with monsters 15 levels above me and 5 above him. He even took on two creatures at the same time, each of them 5 levels higher than him and he WON.
Behind him sits a nice, friendly Dutch guy – hence the title (“you are my hero”)
Eleris, my character, is now level 21 and she has learned to summon a succubus
. I will not post pictures of it, not yet – waiting to get to know her better
